The?Department of Communication, a subunit of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Vienna is one of the largest and strongest research-oriented departments for communication science worldwide. The advertised position is situated within the?Advertising & Media Psychology Research Group, led by?Professor J?rg Matthes. The Advertising & Media Psychology Research Group deals with the impact of modern media environments on people's thinking, behavior, and opinions, using both quantitative as well as qualitative methods to conduct their research.

The position is advertised to the extent of 30 hours/week (75%) for a period of four years, with the position to be filled as soon as possble upon agreement.

You actively participate in research, teaching & administration, which means:


	You actively collaborate in the area of empirical content, reception and effects research, especially advertising research and/or polical and/or environmental communication.
	You publish your research in international highly-ranked journals.
	You present your research at national and international conferences, meetings, and symposia.
	You actively engage in applying for third-party funded projects.
	You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
	You participate in evaluation measures and in quality assurance.
	The signing of a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 months of employment is expected.
	Contribution to the department administration is expected.

	You have obtained a completed MA / Magister degree in Communication Science or a related discipline.
	You have in-depth knowledge of methods of empirical social research, especially quantitative methods and statistical data analysis.
	You are interested in an international research orientation.
	You have obtained didactic competence.
	Ideally, you have experience in research-oriented university teaching.
	Excellent computer literacy
	Excellent command of written and spoken English
	Ability to work in teams and distinct organizational skills

The basic salary increases if we can credit prior professional experience.

The employment duration is four years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment relationship is automatically extended to four years if the employer does not terminate it within the first twelve months by submitting a non-extension declaration.

The Accounting and Financial Management Department at Northumbria University is seeking to appoint an outstanding candidate to join its Accounting Subject as an Associate Professor of Accounting. The role-holder will be expected to demonstrate continuing academic attainment and achievement and provide academic leadership (of their subject and associated colleagues), through contribution to their discipline and to the communal life and work of their Faculty and the wider University. This will involve undertaking a specific management portfolio within the Department and, more generally, the Faculty. Beyond the discipline and University, the successful candidate will work to bring significant change within practice, profession and/or community at regional, national and international level. In addition, the successful candidate will contribute to delivering the Faculty’s strategic priorities, which include the integration of high quality research, excellent teaching, and the provision and inclusiveness of leadership on a range of diverse portfolios within an academic context.

The role holder will lead and contribute to research activities, increasing the level of inclusiveness in the subject and the department and delivering appropriate research outputs, income generation and impact as agreed by the department's Research leadership team.? We are interested in hearing from candidates from all areas of accounting, particularly from those who can demonstrate expertise in financial accounting, auditing, taxation and management accounting; an outstanding profile and a robust research agenda and evidence of previous research funding success are also essential. In addition, the role-holder will assist the Head of Department and the Faculty Pro Vice-Chancellor to maintain, enhance and improve the University’s national and international reputation in their academic field.

Job description

We would like you to bring your skills and experience to join our Health and Nutrition Department, where you will be teaching and supporting students undertaking the Independent and Supplementary Prescribing programme (V300) for Registered Nurses.

This is a new programme for UCB which has been approved by the NMC. We are looking to recruit a Senior Lecturer with contemporary knowledge of prescribing and pharmacology, who has professional experience as a senior healthcare practitioner or pharmacist.

Our programmes’ curriculum is focused on preparing practitioners to develop their role or innovate their practice as advanced clinical and specialist practitioners, and our philosophy is to work in partnership with students, academics, researchers, service users and service colleagues to deliver high quality learning and teaching based on contemporary research.

To be successful in this role you should have: Professional Registration with NMC, HCPC or GPhC· Annotation of your prescribing qualification on the professional register.

Your teaching approach should be flexible, student focussed, and research informed, and you should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You must have expertise in engaging in post-registration nursing education with sound pedagogical foundations and be able to offer inspirational learning and teaching to students.

You will be able to demonstrate evidence of leadership, teamworking and working autonomously. You should have a strong commitment to developing and maintaining relationships with the programme delivery team, wider university teams, the NMC and our stakeholders, as this will be required during curriculum development and ongoing programme monitoring.

You will engage in internal and external activity associated with the Department and University.?

They may also contribute to research of integration of multimodality data with clinical, radiological images and genomics data.
